商品名Vintage Disneyland BACKSTAGE Cast Magazine Vol 8 No 1 1969 (Vintage Disneyland BACKSTAGE Cast Magazine Vol 8 No 1 1969)
出品者コメントGreat condition with no missing paper, tears, or writing, with one big flaw - A picture of Mickey was colored in with marker pen... and the ink bled through to the other page. The rest of the insides are excellent. See photos for more condition details. ※ アメリカの現地出品者により作成されたため、英語のまま掲載いたしております。

商品説明※アメリカの現地出品者により作成されたため、英語のまま掲載いたしております。Winter 1969 Preview issue, but if you flip the magazine over, you discover it is instead the Summer 1969 Preview Issue - just another example of the zaniness of this cast-produced publication. Wally Boag is not listed as Editor of this issue but wrote the inside front page articles for 'both' preview issues. Articles/photo pages include Cast Member profiles, Departmental reports (including a brief article with photo of the Golden Horseshoe Review cast flying to Washington DC to perform the show for President Nixon!), Winter and Summer one-sketch comic jokes about working in the Winter (and in the Summer) season, a "Time Card Board Game, and more. Very funny stuff. Condition Flaw: This is a black and white publication, and the first time I thumbed through this issue a graphic of Mickey Mouse in color surprised me. Upon closer examination I realized the original owner cast member colored Mickey's tongue, pants, and shoes on the Time Card Board Game. As you can see in the last two photos, it was done well and doesn't look too bad until you turn the page and see that some of the pink pants color bled through onto an article on the following page. In spite of this, it is still a less common and desired issue of this heartfelt publication. Background:Backstage is an obscure cast member quarterly magazine published from approximately 1962 to 1985. This cast member magazine poked fun at the challenges for employees at Disneyland. I believe this magazine was the brainchild of Golden Horseshoe Revue star Wally Boag, who felt that Disneyland employees endured a lot of stress working long hours in crowded conditions with the public in Disneyland and needed a structured way to blow off a little steam. In many issues Wally Boag is listed as Editor and/or Contributor. According to Wally, this is what Walt Disney said after reading the second issue of the magazine: "The ability to laugh at oneself is necessary. Congratulations." The December 1974 issue of this magazine described Backstage Magazine's purpose this way:for the girl whose popcorn machine is overflowing...for the sweeper who has to clean it up...for the Jungle Guide whose boat has broken down in the Hippo pool...for the maintenance man who has no idea how to fix it...for the cook who has run out of teriyaki sauce...and for the waitress who has already said "goodbye" to her tip...May we offer BACKSTAGE... it will make you smile. I have 8 issues of this magazine currently, each listed separately. Check them all out! Magazine will be shipped against cardboard to ensure safe delivery. Size: 8.25 by 10.75 inches, 22 pages. Condition: Great condition with no missing paper, tears, or writing, with one big flaw - A picture of Mickey was colored in with marker pen... and the ink bled through to the other page. Read more about this above under "Condition Flaw." The rest of the insides are excellent. See photos for more condition details.
