With a rich chocolate complexion and honey-colored eyes, this 18-inch girl doll was thoughtfully crafted with exquisite detail such as slight variations in the feet and hands. The eyes still function and fully open and close depending on the position of the doll. The sound box is still intact and working, and baby makes a sound when you give her "burp pats" on her back. The cloth body is free from stains and odors, and stuffing is full as if she just came off the factory line this year. Made in 1965, this doll exemplifies the power and beauty of Black culture, far from the caricatured representations of African American and Black dolls created earlier in the 20th century. This doll is suitable for children aged 3 or above and features no personalization.
